Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PawLog ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PawLog is a pet care tracking application that allows users to:

• Create and manage pet profiles
• Track veterinary visits, vaccinations, and medications
• Log daily care activities including feeding, weight, and grooming
• Set reminders for pet care events
• Store pet photos
• Export pet health data

3. Free and Premium Features

PawLog offers both free and premium features:

• Free features: Pet profiles, vet visit logging, vaccination tracking, medication management, feeding schedules, weight tracking, grooming logs, photo timeline, reminders, iCloud sync, JSON data export, and Sign in with Apple
• PawLog Pro (Premium): A one-time in-app purchase ($4.99 USD) that unlocks additional features including health insights, symptom checker, care score, breed health info, PDF health reports, expense tracker, and advanced care tools

Premium features are clearly marked within the App. The one-time purchase grants permanent access to all Pro features — there are no recurring charges or subscriptions.

4. In-App Purchases

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. By making a purchase:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• The purchase is non-consumable — you pay once and keep access permanently
• You can restore your purchase on any device signed into the same Apple ID
• Refund requests must be made through Apple's App Store support
• We do not have access to your payment information

5. Sign in with Apple

PawLog offers optional Sign in with Apple for account recovery and iCloud sync facilitation. By using this feature, you agree to Apple's terms for Sign in with Apple. The feature is entirely optional and the App is fully functional without it.

6. iCloud Data Sync

PawLog syncs your data to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions. We do not control or have access to data stored in your iCloud account.

7. Medical Disclaimer

PawLog is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. The App is designed to help you organize and track your pet's care information. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.

The Care Score feature, breed health information, health insights, and symptom logging are informational tools only. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your pet's medical needs.

8. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy of information you enter into the App
• Maintaining backups of your data
• Keeping your device and Apple ID secure to protect your data
• Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your information. All data is stored on your device and synced to your personal iCloud account. We do not collect or transmit your personal information to our servers.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by PawLog and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App's name, logo, or branding without permission
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, software updates, or user error
• We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information displayed in the App
• We are not responsible for the continuous availability of iCloud sync or Apple services
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. In-app purchases remain tied to your Apple ID and can be restored if you reinstall the App.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated terms will be effective when posted. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Apple Terms

These terms are in addition to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of a conflict, Apple's EULA takes precedence for matters related to the App Store distribution.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
