Where is my data stored?

All your data is stored locally on your iPhone and automatically synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. Your pet's information stays private — we never have access to it.

How do I back up my data?

Your PawLog data automatically syncs to your iCloud account, so it's backed up in the cloud. If you reinstall the app or get a new device signed into the same iCloud account, your data will restore automatically. You can also export your data as a JSON file from Settings within the app.

Can I use PawLog on multiple devices?

Yes! PawLog syncs your data via iCloud. Simply sign into the same iCloud account on another iPhone and your pets, health records, photos, and all other data will sync automatically.

How do I add multiple pets?

Tap the pet switcher at the top of the Home screen, then tap the "+" button to add a new pet. You can add unlimited pets, each with their own complete profile and records.

How do reminders work?

PawLog uses local notifications for reminders. When you create a reminder (for vet visits, medications, grooming, etc.), the app schedules a notification on your device. Make sure notifications are enabled for PawLog in your iPhone Settings.

What is the Care Score?

The Care Score is a percentage that shows how up-to-date your pet's preventive care is. It checks vaccinations, vet visits, medications, weight tracking, and grooming against recommended schedules. Tap any item to see its status and when it's next due.

Can I export my pet's vaccination records?

Yes! Go to the Health tab, then Vaccinations. Tap the share button to generate a vaccination summary that you can share with your vet, boarding facility, or dog park.

How do I delete a pet or all my data?

To delete a single pet, go to the pet's profile and scroll to the bottom. To delete all data, go to Settings and use the "Delete All Data" option. Both actions require confirmation.

Does PawLog work offline?

Yes! PawLog works entirely offline since all data is stored on your device. No internet connection is required.

Why are notifications not appearing?

Make sure notifications are enabled for PawLog:

The app is not showing my pet's breed health info

Breed health information is a PawLog Pro feature available for common dog and cat breeds. Make sure you've upgraded to Pro and entered your pet's breed in their profile. If your specific breed isn't listed, try entering a closely related breed.

What is PawLog Pro?

PawLog Pro is a one-time purchase ($4.99 USD) that unlocks premium features: Health Insights, Symptom Checker, Care Score, Breed Health Info, PDF Health Reports, and Expense Tracker. You pay once and keep access forever — no subscription required.

How do I restore my PawLog Pro purchase?

If you've previously purchased PawLog Pro and need to restore it (e.g., after reinstalling or on a new device), go to Settings and tap "Restore Purchases." Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device.
